Frequently Asked Questions about Registering |
 |
Do I have to Register to Order?
When you order with us, we need your shipping and billing
information to deliver your items to you. We register you in our system so that we
can track your order. As a courtesy to
you, we give you a password to access that same information any time you want. You don't
have to use or remember this password if you don't want to, but if you ever want to
check on your order status, order again quickly, subscribe to our
newsletter, or see everything you've ordered in the past,
you can do that at any time, once you're registered, using
your password.
That's all that registering with us is about -- tracking your order.
We don't give your
information out to anyone else, ever!
Why Register?
You are automatically registered when you order
because we must be able to track your order to make sure it gets to you.
As a convenience to you, we give you a password so that you
can check on the status of your order, too -- or make changes to your order,
or order again without having to type all your information in again.
Some people register with us without ordering so that they can
subscribe to our newsletter, get announcements, or enter our contests.
But that's only to send them information that they have requested. We don't spam,
and we don't give out your personal information
to anyone else!
It says "Username Already Exists". What do I do now?
If you've used your email address as your username, you should never encounter
this error message -- unless you've already registered with us and forgotten!
However, since we do not require you to use your email address as your username,
if the name you chose matches another user's name, the system will reject your username.
Choose another username or use your email address.
What kind of password should I use?
Your personal data is protected by your password, and for that reason we recommend you use strong passwords. A strong password is a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. For instance, if your name happens to be Orson Wells, a good strong password might be "!Orson9Wells." Keep in mind that our passwords are Case Sensitive so remember your capital and lowercase spellings! Also, your password must be between 5 and 80 characters.
What is "Verify Password" and what do I do when my passwords don't match?
We ask you to verify the password you supplied us with for your
account by typing it twice. Since we don't echo or show the password
you type, this is how we make sure that you're sure of what it is.
If when you verify the password, you type a different password, the
system will complain that your passwords don't match. Simply erase
both passwords, and type them again -- the same. |
